ECU Compatibility:

This kit works with most aftermarket ECUs that support PWM boost control, including ECUMaster, Holley, Haltech, MaxxECU, Link Engine Management, MoTec, AEM, Hondata, Grimmspeed, Turbosmart, Autronic, Cobb Tuning, and Megasquirt. Always check your ECU's manual for the boost control output, recommended PWM frequency and wiring.

What does a boost control solenoid do?
It lets your ECU regulate the pressure sent to your wastegate actuator, which sets how much boost your turbo makes. The ECU switches the valve on and off rapidly (PWM) to raise or lower boost.

3-port or 4-port kit?
The difference between 3‑port and 4‑port solenoids is how much control authority they give the ECU and how they manipulate pressure on the wastegate’s top and bottom ports. A 4‑port boost solenoid provides a much wider and more aggressive boost control range than a 3‑port, allowing boost levels up to 4–6× the wastegate spring rating, while a 3‑port offers simpler, reliable control suitable for most internal‑gate and many external‑gate setups.

Will it work with my ECU?
If your ECU has a PWM (or low-side switched) output for boost control, most likely yes. Check the manual for wiring and frequency settings, or email us your ECU model and we'll help.

Does the kit include hose?
No, the kit includes hose fittings, a muffler and the wiring connector kit. You'll need boost-rated hose sized for the 1/4" fittings.

Are these genuine MAC valves?
Yes. The valve is a new, authentic MAC Valves, Inc. 35 series.

Do I need a tune after installing it?
Yes. Changing boost control hardware changes how boost behaves, so have your ECU calibrated by a qualified tuner and double-check your plumbing before driving. Incorrect plumbing can cause overboost and engine damage.
